Hello, I am Qaanitah, from South Africa! I love learning about cultures and travelling. I've learned that the best way to learn about places and its people is to interact with them and find out what they're most interested in. One of the reasons I love teaching English is because I love the different ways people communicate.
My interests and passions vary from fashion to science which is one of the reasons my majors vary as well. I got my facilitation certificate to learn to communicate optimally and help others understand each other with more than just the words they use in conversation.
Knowing what I've learned and my experiences teaching and facilitating have proven that the way you react, not just with changes in your pitch and tone, but with your body and face are important when I try to understand what works best for my students and their learning experience. Through my experiences I've also learned that with languages it is important to know which parts of the mouth, throat, chest and nose to engage for different sounds, especially in effective pronunciation.
I know that not everyone has enough time, so I don't make homework mandatory but it is encouraged when you are preparing for tests, interviews or have very little time to prepare for travels.
Just remember, when you learn to use any language, you are learning how to put into words who you are and the best things about where you've come from; whether it's for an interview or to ask directions. Language and all the things we use it for in is part of what makes each of us individual pieces of art. Everything you'd like to say is important and I'd like to help you say it in the best way it can be said.
